Baldwin man life-flighted after Friday motorcycle accident
A 25-year-old Baldwin man was transported via helicopter to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City after a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon south of Lawrence.
The man was driving his motorcycle south on County Road 1055 when he attempted to pass a Jeep Cherokee. The Cherokee, also headed south, turned left and into the path of the passing motorcycle. Upon impact, the motorcyclist was sent over the hood of the Jeep, according to the Douglas County Sherriff’s Office.
The accident occurred at 1:24 p.m. in the 800 block of County Road 1055 between Baldwin and Lawrence.
Details on the man’s condition were not available Saturday morning.
