Lawrence police are investigating a reported fight between two or three groups of people early Saturday morning at The Ranch, 2515 W. Sixth St. One man received a cut to his head after he was reportedly hit with a metal object, a police report said. The man was treated at the scene for his injury. Police responded to the bar at 1:41 a.m. Saturday.

At 1:48 a.m. Monday, police were called to Taco Bell, 1220 W. Sixth St., where witnesses said two groups of people were in a verbal fight and a suspect displayed a handgun. Officers found the suspect during a traffic stop but didn’t find a weapon. Two men were arrested, a police report said.

A police spokeswoman said preliminary reports don’t indicate whether these incidents are connected.
