¢ Lawrence Police investigated a report late Friday of a possible brandishing of a firearm, Capt. Steve Zarnowiec said. A preliminary report indicated the caller alleged seeing at 9:47 p.m. Friday a possible gun held by people in a vehicle near the intersection of 23rd Street and Ousdahl Road. The vehicle fled north on Iowa, Zarnowiec indicated in the preliminary report. No additional information was available as the investigation continued.

Burglaries and thefts

¢ A 67-year-old Lawrence woman reported that her car, a Mitsubishi Galant, was stolen between 10 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1500 block of Massachusetts. The vehicle is valued at $3,500.
