Injury Accidents

¢ Lawrence Police and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical responded to two accidents just before 6 p.m. Friday at the intersection of 23rd and Louisiana streets and also the intersection of 31st and Louisiana streets.

Medical workers transported one person from each accident scene to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, said Battalion Chief Rob Kort. Neither person’s injury was life-threatening, he said.

The accident at 23rd and Louisiana streets involved a pedestrian, Kort said. Details from police were unavailable Friday night about the cause of the two accidents.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A woman in the 2000 block of Heatherwood Drive reported to police that a Sanyo television, a mountain bike and several DVDs and video cassettes, valued at $1,195, were stolen between Nov. 2 and Wednesday.

¢ A man in the 2000 block of Camelback Drive reported to police that items including his vehicle registration and gloves were stolen from his vehicle. The vehicle’s $1,300 in damage included a broken rear spoiler.
