Family was the center of Sandy's life. She believed in facing challenges with determination and celebrating life's victories alongside those she loved. A natural leader, she guided her family with strength, compassion, and integrity. She always sought to do what was right, both for those she cared about and for herself.
Sandy's absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. The love, values, and strength she instilled in her family will remain a lasting foundation for generations to come. Her sense of humor was unmatched. The quick wit and ability to get anyone to laugh were her best traits.
Sandy built a successful career in kitchen and bath design, spending many years serving clients in Lawrence, Kansas. A talented and dedicated sales professional, she worked in sales from the age of 18 until her retirement a few years ago.
Sandy was known for her generosity and selflessness. She was the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Throughout her life, she fostered many children, opening her heart and home to those who needed care and support. Even when resources were limited, she always found a way to help others.
Strong, vibrant, and free-spirited, Sandy embraced her inner hippie and lived life with authenticity and joy. She and Moe were married outdoors, where she wore a flower crown that reflected her love of nature and beauty. Known for her signature patchouli and sandalwood scents, Sandy carried warmth wherever she went. Her kindness, welcoming spirit, and genuine love for others drew people to her effortlessly, and she had a remarkable ability to light up any room she entered.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Schrimscher, and her sisters, Carolyn Sprinkle and Patti Schrimscher.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Sandy's memory consider making a donation to assist with funeral expenses. Contributions may be made through the designated memorial fund here: https://gofund.me/1b981c481
