Linda Copp

Linda Copp (Hodson), 77, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026. She was born on August 26, 1948, and lived a life defined by devotion to her family, kindness toward others, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that made her happiest.

Linda married the love of her life, Richard Copp, on March 14, 1969. Their marriage was a true partnership, built on friendship, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they raised their daughter, Tashana, who remained the center of Linda's world.

A homemaker for much of her life, Linda poured her heart into creating a warm and welcoming home. She later worked in food services for the Lawrence schools, a role she chose so she could enjoy summers off with Tashana. Before that, she spent 18 years working at Hallmark Cards, a place that not only shaped her early career but also brought Richard into her life-an encounter that would become the foundation of their lifelong love story.

Linda had a natural love for gardening and flowers, tending to them with the same care she gave to the people around her. She also enjoyed attending car shows, finding joy in the craftsmanship and nostalgia they offered.

Survivors include her daughter, Tashana (DJ) Glenn, brother-in-law, Larry (Linda) Copp, Sister, Cheryl Bowers, grandchildren, Collin (Karlee) Glenn, Cameron (Sarah) Glenn, sisters-in-law, Sandy (Dale) Mock, Linda Buckner, and nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by husband, her parents, brothers-in-law, Stan Buckner, Melvin Copp, Marvin Copp, Gary Copp, Guy Dennis Copp, and sister-in-law, Vivian Ryan.

A Funeral Service for Linda is set for 11:00 am, Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS. A Visitation is set from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS.
