Alfred Cooper

February 16, 1942 – February 6, 2026

Preceded in death by his parents A.B. and Gladys Cooper; son Alfred Jr. Cooper; brothers Floyd Bartlett, Robert Cooper, Norvell Cooper, Buddy, A.B. Jr, Danny; sisters Modie Jo, Janice, Maxine Cooper.

Alfred leaves to cherish his memory wife; Elizabeth Cooper – married for forty-six years – daughters; Gladys Cooper, Trang Lou, and Carmen Cooper, sons; Damien Cooper, Anthony and Timothy Turner, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a total of twenty-six grandchildren, and seven or more great-grandchildren.

A service will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 102 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
