Charlotte Klinkenberg

Charlotte Louise Klinkenberg, 93, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away October 1, 2025.

Funeral services will be at 11 am on Wednesday October 8, 2025, at the Quisenberry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Charlotte was born on May 15, 1932, in Farley, MO, the daughter of William and Olga (Schalipp) Kisker. She was united in marriage on September 20, 1952, to Robert E. Klinkenberg. He preceded her in death in November of 2021. She was also preceded in death by their daughter Eugenia in 1955. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Leavenworth, KS. Her and Robert were very active in modern square dancing and belonged to several clubs, the Merry Mixers, Lawrence, KS, the Barn Dancers, Lawrence, KS, and the Tonga Twirlers, Tonganoxie, KS. She was also preceded in death by 3 siblings, Eugene Kisker, John Kisker and Mary Gail.

Survivors include one son Robert M. and wife Helen Klinkenberg, Leavenworth, one daughter, Debra and husband Charles Staples, Tonganoxie; one sister, Elizabeth Schmidling, Pueblo, CO; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations in her name to the Trinity Lutheran Church, Leavenworth, KS.
