David W. Scott, 82, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 26, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Biggers Funeral Chapel, Lake Worth, Texas.

Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, Texas following the service.

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2025, Biggers Funeral Home.

He was born on August 13, 1943, in Keokuk, Iowa, to John and Isabelle Scott. After finishing his education in Illinois, David proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. His years of service reflected his lifelong dedication to hard work, integrity, and family.

After his military service, David built a long career in the transportation industry as a truck driver. He was known for his steady nature, reliability, and kind heart, making a lasting impression on everyone he met.

David was the loving husband of 37 years to Brenda C. Scott, and together they shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and faith. He was a member of Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Fort Worth, Texas.

A devoted family man, David cherished time spent with those he loved most.

David was preceded in death by his parents, John and Isabelle Scott; his sister, Janice Huls; his brother, Robert Scott; and his stepdaughter, Cathy Stubblefield.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Scott; his sister, Mary Coppedge; his daughter, Dr. Jody Popple and husband, David; and his stepdaughter, Sharon Wilkinson and husband, Kevin; a proud grandfather to Jacob Stubblefield and wife, Lorena, Charli Reyes, Kolton Wilkinson and wife, Alejandra, and Sheradi Girard and husband, Jason; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
