Ronald Borchardt

Dr. Ronald T. Borchardt, 81, Lawrence, Kansas, passed away with family by his side on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Following a private interment at Pioneer Cemetery, the family will host A Celebration of Life for Dr. Borchardt on August 16, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 p.m., at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Come and share stories about Ron with family, friends, and colleagues.

Ronald, son of Martin and Helen (Nezda) Borchardt, was born February 18, 1944, in Wausau, Wisconsin. He married Pamela Bohl on June 11, 1966, in Wausau. The couple eventually relocated with their family to Lawrence, Kansas, where Ronald served on the faculty at The University of Kansas School of Pharmacy for nearly 50 years.

Ronald is survived by his wife Pamela, his children, Scott (Julie) Borchardt, Paul (Susan) Borchardt, and Kelly (Philip) Elrod, sister, Judi Eckardt, and grandchildren, Noelle, Nick, Catie, and Max Borchardt.
