Teresa Hall

Peacefully passed away, Sunday, July 6th, age 81, surrounded by some loved ones at her home. She was born to the parents of John Estrada Sr. and Felissa Estrada, both deceased. Grew up in a loving family with two brothers and two other sisters in Kansas City, Kansas and was a graduate from Rosedale High School Class of 1962. She did spend some time living with her grandparents (Perez) during the Flood of '51 and during that rebuilding period. There she grew very close to her cousins and that side of her mother's family. She met her first husband, John Alvarez, also from Kansas City, Kansas. He bought a house in the suburbs of Shawnee, Kansas. He proposed and they married that same year. They were blessed with six children. Teresa continued to raise six children after her divorce in Shawnee, Kansas and served as the Block Mother. Mom made a career working at JC Penney Distribution Center, when it opened. She would later retire due to an illness diagnosed in 2001. However, in 1980, mom found love again and married Steven Hall. They proceeded to raise together her children in Olathe, Kansas. The marriage dissolved, and Teresa's family grew with grandchildren. Later in life she moved to Lawrence, Kansas to be near her daughter for additional care for 11 years until her death. Teresa took a lot of pride in her children. She said many times how proud and blessed she was to have her kids. She loved bargain shopping and dancing (especially to Motown). Mom enjoyed spending time at family events. She made friends with everyone she met. She is joined in Heaven with her parents, her brother Joe Estrada and sister Patricia Everson and many other loved ones. Teresa is survived by her brother, John Estrada, Roeland Park, KS and Melissa, Millie (Sam) Clinkenbeard, Kansas City, KS and her six children.
