Ann Robinson
Ann Elizabeth Robinson (Douthitt), aged 81 years, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus, at home surrounded by family on January 13, 2025, in Lawrence, KS. Ann was born March 4, 1943, to Celestion ‘Buck’ and Mary (Probus) Douthitt in Breckinridge County, KY.
Ann's love for her family was forever strong and she was blessed in strength as her family grew with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ann's love for music came from an early age where most of her family played instruments and sang. Ann played and sang at various contests including a county fair where she won a trip to audition at the Grand Ole Opry. Ann believed that music was an important part of her heritage that needed to be passed down through family. She enjoyed listening to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren sing and play music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Celestion ‘Buck’ Douthitt and Mary (Probus) Douthitt. Also preceded in death were her former husband, Paul Elbert Robinson, and Paul's son James Wesley Robinson.
Ann is survived by her children, Zeke (Vicki) Robinson of Bonner Springs, KS, Joe (Lora) Robinson of Olathe, KS, Jimmy Ann Robinson of Bonner Springs, KS, Rebecca (John) Dunlap of Lawrence, KS, and a child of her heart Ann claimed as her own Leslie Spillman (son of Carol) of Fort Worth, TX.; Grandchildren, Melinda (Bryan) Kelly, Kaitlyn (Jimmy) Lucas, Ryan Robinson, Meri Jo (Sam) Michel-Velazquez, Dalton Robinson, Kristina (Nathan) Conroy, Great Grandchildren, Jack and Guy Kelly, Hudson and Myles Lucas, Abby and Malachi Michel-Velazquez.
