Connie Norris

Connie J. Norris, 72 of Lawrence, Kansas passed away February 16 2025 at the Neuvant House of Lawrence. Connie was born June 11th, 1952 at the family home in Williamsburg, Ks to Richard and Frankye (Wiscombe) Thornbrugh

Connie married Ken Norris, son of Donald and Ruth Norris on September 24, 1987 in Lawrence, Kansas.

Connie did many things in her life, she ran a childcare center in her home, was a homemaker, and worked as a document specialist at Sallie Mae before embracing her role as a professional Grandmother.

Connie was proceeded in death by her parents and brother Richard D. Thornbrugh

Survivors include her husband, Children; Brad (Heather) Hauschild, Jill Kline. Stepchildren; Tim (Jenny) Norris, Wendy (Brian) Freeman. Sisters; Cheryl Hetrick, Virginia Van Valkenburg, Sandra ( Byron, and Kathie Romstedt. 11 Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Grandchildren.

Connie will be remembered as loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved gardening, reading and DIY projects.

Funeral Service for Connie J. Norris will be held at 1:00 p.m. on February 24, 2025 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W 13th Street, Lawrence, Kansas 66044.

The family suggests memorials in Connie's name be made to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org/kansascity?form=FUNDHYMMBXU) and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
