Richard Michael Norman, 70, Lawrence, KS, passed away January 29, 2025.
A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Saturday February 8, 2025, at the Quisenberry Funeral Home 604 E 4th Street Tonganoxie, KS. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service.
Rick was born August 17, 1954, in Kansas City, KS, the son of Oran and Helen (Wilper) Norman. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked in manufacturing for Schlumberger, Lawrence, KS, before retirement.
Survivors include sons James Norman, Lawrence, KS, Nicholas Norman, Lawrence, KS; daughter, Danielle Norman, Kansas City, MO; brother, Charles Norman, Lawrence, KS; and four grandchildren, Ethan Price, Emma Price, Izaiah Norman, and Syler Norman.
Rick had a passion for the water and loved spending time on his boat. Whether it be fishing, water skiing, or simply enjoying the open air, with his friends and family. His love for his family was evident in his constant presence at his children's and grandchildren's sporting events, where his encouragement and support were always felt by all. He treasured every moment with his loved ones, and his unwavering encouragement and sense of pride will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Rick also found great joy in the company of his friends. He loved spending time with them, going out on the town, and enjoying music. Whether it was listening to his favorite tunes or simply being surrounded by those he cared about, those moments brought him great happiness.
Rick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of love, kindness, patriotism, and a life well-lived will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
