Tina Cates

Tina Ann was called home to Creator on May 15th, 2024 after a brave battle with lung cancer. Born in Gunnison, CO to Carolyn & Wayne Cates, Tina spent her childhood in her favorite place; the mountains. After moving to Lawrence, she raised her six children; Chris, Brandon (Katie & siblings), Bradly (Natalie, Britney, Bradly Jr), Holly (Hanna, Hailey, Hayden), Ciara (fur babies Bear, Toast & Biscuit) & Espen. Tina was known for her kindness, her homemade fried chicken dinner, her excitement for Shark Week & her ability to make everyone feel loved & important. Tina was proceeded in death by her Nanny, (Mildred Hodge), her Papa (Carl Hodge), & her Uncle Glenn (Hodge). Tina will be missed by many, including her kids, many grandbabies & siblings (Ty, Tami, Tracy, Toni & Tiffy) as well as several nieces, nephews & cousins. Per her wishes, Tina was cremated. Services will be announced at a later date.
