David Springer

David L. Springer, 81, of Kansas City, Missouri died September 25, 2023 at his home. David was born March 13, 1942 in Pleasanton, Kansas to Nettie M. (Graham) and Leslie A. Springer. He went on to college and earned a Master's Degree from the University of Central Missouri. He married Hazel Springer in June, 1971. They had two children, Jeff and Shannon Springer who grew up to be teachers in the Kansas City Metro area. During his life he had several jobs, but landed in Lawrence, Kansas where he worked as the National Sales Manager at Central Fiber Corporation in Wellsville, Kansas. David and Hazel lived in Lawrence, Kansas for 25 years before moving to Kansas City, Missouri where they have been living for 13 years. David is survived by his wife of 52 years Hazel, his daughter Shannon L. Springer, son Jeffrey D. Springer and wife Alyssa, stepson Dr. S. Kelley O'Neal and partner Shirley Allen, as well as number one puppy, Angus. During his life David enjoyed watching sports, especially KU Jayhawk basketball and KC Chiefs football. He was also an avid reader and enjoyed long walks with his dog Angus. No services or visitation are planned at this time.
