Karen Noll

Valdosta — Karen Ruff Noll was an active member of the Lawrence community in the 1990s. She moved from New Jersey to the Sunflower State to attend KU with her husband, Michael Noll. In Lawrence, she found a creative and caring community, enjoyed her studies in speech language pathology, attended events offered by the Lawrence Barn Dance Association, became a member of the Community Mercantile, and loved the original music scene.

Cancer took her too soon. Her last wish was for those who knew her to celebrate life and to keep building the beloved community Martin Luther King dreamed of by actively working for peace and justice in her memory.

Karen is survived by her husband, Michael, her two children, Sophia and Jonathan, and her siblings Jude and Phil Ruff.

A memorial service for Karen will be held on Friday, April 28 at 2pm at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Valdosta, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please consider planting a tree in her memory. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane.
