Myrna Ikenberry

Myrna Sue Ikenberry, 82 of Lawrence, KS passed away peacefully on June 19th, 2023 after a valiant fight with her many health challenges.

Myrna was the first born to Glen and Virginia Petty in Wichita, KS on June 6th, 1941. She married Richard Dieffenbaugh in June 1959. From this union were born two daughters, Janet and Carrie. They divorced in 1980. She later met and married her soulmate, Raymond Ikenberry who also had two children, Judy and Alan. They built their dream home on a hill overlooking a valley in Douglas County KS

She is survived by husband, Raymond Ikenberry, daughters Janet Nixon, Carrie Craig(Dan), son Alan Ikenberry(Kathy). She was preceded in death by parents Glen and Virginia Petty and daughter Judy(Ikenberry)Farmer.

Myrna enjoyed time with her children, eight grandchildren and her many great-grandchildren. As a child, she spent time at her great grandparents' farm on the Buffalo River, AR. She later traveled to Barbados, Bermuda and Italy. Once she went to work with Maupintour, she and Raymond traveled throughout the world. They also made many fishing trips to the Family cabin in Arkansas and local lakes.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to the nurses and staff at Medicalodge of Eudora KS and Gentiva Hospice who all took such great care of Myrna this past year.
