Rosalie Stolpe

Rosalie Stolpe (Higgins), 94, died August 3, 2023 in St. Louis County, Missouri.

Rosalie was born in Topeka, Kansas, the only child of JC and Eula Higgins. She attended Highland Park High School active in over 20 organizations. A proud Kansas State University graduate, she lived over 40 years in Lawrence, Kansas, before relocating to St. Louis.

Her career included serving as a TWA Agent, Ambassador Club Hostess, and USAF Officer's wife. A love of travel forged her path as a Travel Agent, with her last position as Manager of Lawrence Travel Center. Her final three years were spent with her daughter's family in St. Louis, Missouri. She was discerning, fiercely independent, a writer of poems, a lover of books, dachshunds, and moonflowers.

Rosalie was predeceased by her eldest daughter, Suzan S. Pearl.

She is survived by her youngest daughter, Sara, and Sara's exemplary caregiver husband, Gary Tetley.

‘Memas’ grandchildren are Ryan (Megan) Pearl of Moorestown, NJ, Rachel (Frank) Zarate of Chicago, IL, Patrick (Lauren) Tetley, and Laura Tetley (Emanshu) all of St. Louis.

We extend our gratitude for Rosalie's friendships over her lifetime, the steadfast love of our family, our caring, supportive friends, and especially to Kelly Barton, RN, and Sarah Breed, CNA of Solace Hospice, for the joy they brought to her world.

To honor her wishes, Rosalie's body will be cremated, with a private memorial service to be held at a future date.
