Debra Bott

Debbie Bott, age 66, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2021. She was born in September 1954 in Hiawatha, Kansas to Dale and Doris Snyder.

She graduated from Sabetha High School in 1972. Attended Emporia State University and was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. She was first runner up Miss Emporia State 1974.

Debbie married Lynn Bott in 1974. Together they have two children Mindi Kastning and Jason Bott. Son-in-law Brian and grandchildren Lilian, Nicholas, Ericson, and Annalie. A daughter-n-law Julia and granddaughter Paisley.

She is survived by her parents Dale and Doris Snyder of Sabetha and her sister Terri Giesel.

Debbie began working in banking in 1976. She worked at Douglas County Bank, Emprise Bank, and Central Bank of the Midwest. She retired in 2019.

Debbie enjoyed gardening, traveling, and reading. She volunteered for Relay for Life of Douglas County. She started her first team in 1999. She was on the committee from 2005-2013 and was Co-chair from 2008-2010. She also served on the Lawrence Security Committee.

Funeral services will be held at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home 601 Indiana Street Lawrence, KS 66044, on June 2, 2021 at 11am.
