Thomas Karlin

We mourn the loss of Thomas (Tom) Karlin, who passed after a decade long battle with cancer on November 18, 2021 surrounded by family in Thornton, Colorado. He was born March 24, 1963 in Lawrence, Kansas to Felix and Henrietta (Brungardt) Karlin. He graduated from Lawrence High and went on to attend University of Kansas, where he earned his credentials as a pharmacist. Tom was dedicated to his patients and to his work in providing wonderful care. Tom is survived by wife Kimberly Karlin, and six children Ben (m. April), Sam, Luke, Aleesha Riley (m. Spencer), Ian Riley and Paige Riley; three grandchildren-Jeremy, Stella and Madalynn; as well as siblings Jason Karlin, Pat Karlin (m. Mary Beth), Pam Henry, Donna Coffman (m. Dann), Gary Karlin (m. Pam) and Terry Karlin (m. Tim Smith). He was preceded in death by his parents, and older brother Rod Karlin. He was a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather, and family time was the most important thing in his world. He was a compassionate friend, to those close to him and those he had just met. He served in many supportive roles throughout his lifetime and in different organizations. He was a giver to his family, friends, and the world. He also loved being outdoors, and sports of all kinds. No services are planned at this time.
