Alazar Thomas Laymon

Alazar Thomas Laymon, age 8, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 22, 2013. Alazar was adopted in 2012 from Ethiopia and loved his new home “my America”. He enjoyed learning and was determined to learn English quickly. He was a 1st grade student at Maple Lane Elementary School. Alazar loved to smile, giggle and eat ice cream. Some of his best times were spent having Mommy read to him and going swimming with Daddy. He could be found riding his bike and playing and digging in the dirt with his caterpillar tractor toys. He enjoyed singing songs about Jesus, attending church and praying. In the short time he was here he was able to visit Disneyland, Dutch Wonderland and Fun Land.
Alazar is survived by his loving parents, Rev. Thomas & Janice Breithaupt Laymon; grandmother, Eunice Breithaupt of Overbrook, KS; aunts and uncles: Anita Laymon of Boone, NC; Susan & Bob Jones of Ft. Wayne, IN; Charlotte Breithaupt of Dallas Texas; Marilyn & Karl Peterjohn of Witchita, KS; cousins: Alex, Christina, Matt, Molly, Asa, Ellis, Valorie & family, Jonathan, and many other loving cousins.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Worden Cemetery, 56 Highway west of the Baldwin Junction and east of Overbrook, Ks. A family visitation will follow immediately after the service at the Worden United Methodist Church.
