Byron ‘Kenny’ K. Schultz

Funeral service for Byron K. “Kenny” Schultz, 81, Tonganoxie, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the West Haven Baptist Church, Tonganoxie. Burial will follow in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mr. Schultz died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at his home.
He was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Tonganoxie, the son of Edward and Thelma Strouse Schultz.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran.
He was a member of West Haven Baptist Church in Tonganoxie, Tonganoxie VFW Post 9271, and Tiblows Camping Club. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite in Lawrence and was past master of Henri Masonic Lodge 190 AF&AM, Tonganoxie.
He married Orvella Osborn on Jan. 27, 1955, in McLouth. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include one son, Larry Schultz, Tonganoxie; one daughter, Victoria Emery, Owensboro, Ky.; two brothers, Jack and Gene Schultz, both of Tonganoxie; one sister, Patricia Kimberlin, Montrose, Colo.; and six grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abby Marie Emery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie.
