Irma Maxine Dark

Funeral services for Irma Maxine Dark, 88, Lecompton, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lecompton United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Lecompton.
Mrs. Dark died Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at Brandon Woods at Alvamar.
She was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Lecompton, the daughter of Starr and Mabel Cole Glenn.
Mrs. Dark enjoyed traveling. She was a member of the Lecompton United Methodist Church and a life member of the Lecompton Historical Society. Mrs. Dark was involved with 4-H, a cook at Lecompton Elementary School for many years, and was a seamstress.
She married Clayton Dark on June 21, 1942, in Lecompton. He preceded her in death in August 1986.
She married Ben Bisel in February 1990. He preceded her in death in July 1993.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Eileen Eichman, and a brother, Ivan Glenn.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherri Neill and husband Craig, and Barbara Haney and husband Jeff; two sons, Melvin Dark and wife VeNora, and David Dark, all of Lecompton; a sister, Ruby Eichman, Lewiston, Idaho; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the church Thursday.
