Philip H. Aldrich

Funeral services for Philip H. Aldrich, 78, of Kansas City, Mo., will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hills Chapel, Kansas City. Burial with military honors will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Aldrich died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010.
He was born July 4, 1932, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Herbert and Alice Brunk Aldrich.
Mr. Aldrich graduated from Northeast High School in 1949 and the University of Missouri at Columbia with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
He joined the Marine Corps in 1954 and retired from Allied Signal in 1992 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Raytown Christian Church.
Mr. Aldrich was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Morgan Aldrich, in 2005.
Survivors include his children, Alison Houston-Hayslett and husband Timm, Iowa City, Iowa, Kim Litton and husband Ladd, Lee’s Summit, and Steven Aldrich and wife Tasha, Lawrence, Kan.; and six grandchildren.
The family will meet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133.
