Megan Barnum Boyd

A celebration of life for Megan Barnum Boyd, 39, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lawrence.
Mrs. Boyd died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at her home.
She was born June 10, 1970, in Wichita, and adopted by William Dean and Sara Sallie Barnum.
She grew up in Liberal and later moved to Salina. She graduated from Salina Central High School in 1988, and earned an associate degree in nursing from Kansas Wesleyan University in 2001. Mrs. Boyd was a surgical nurse with Salina Regional Health Center after college graduation. She had been a full-time surgical nurse with Lawrence Memorial Hospital since 2002, and was also a per diem surgical nurse with Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Mrs. Boyd was a member of The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN).
She married Scott Erin Boyd on July 12, 2002, in Salina. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Nathan Wesley Yankee, Lawrence, and Justin Charles Yankee, Killeen, Texas; her father, Lawrence; and a brother, William W. Barnum, Clyde.
She was preceded in death by her mother in May 2002, and a sister, Elizabeth Carris Barnum, in 1966.
