Irma E. Eagleton
Graveside services for Irma E. Eagleton, 96, Bushton, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bushton Cemetery.
Mrs. Eagleton died Friday, May 22, 2009, at her home in Bushton.
She was born July 2, 1912, in Pomona, the daughter of William and Clara Mace Hillman. She was a former resident of Stilwell, Okla., and Lawrence.
She was a former gunpowder puller for Sunflower Works in De Soto and retired from Stokley’s Van Camps in Lawrence. She was a substitute for the 3T Card Club in Bushton.
She married Eugene Ireland. He died Aug. 13, 1947. She married William E. “Okie” Eagleton on Nov. 6, 1953. He died Aug. 7, 1998.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Clifford and Billy; and two grandsons, Larry Smith and Mike Young.
Survivors include two daughters, Wilma Young, McLouth, and Shirley Ramsey, Bushton; a sister, Esther Niell, Denver; 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will meet friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Birzer Funeral Home in Lyons.
