Pauline Carol Nusser

A celebration of life and reception for Pauline Carol Nusser, 74, Richardson, Texas, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Richardson. A private burial will take place at 2 p.m. Monday at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas.
Mrs. Nusser died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, following a battle with cancer. She was a resident of Baldwin City, Kan., from 1934 to 1956.
She was born July 27, 1934, in Lawrence, Kan., the daughter of Virgil and Myrtle Simmons Schwartz. She attended Baker University and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
She was a music teacher for 20 years in the Shawnee Mission School District in Kansas and worked in public relations for Hockaday School in Dallas. She was a member of Richardson Women’s Club and served as chairwoman of the board of directors. She was a mentor at Mohawk Elementary School and a longtime member of Pathfinders Sunday School class at First United Methodist Church of Richardson.
Mrs. Nusser enjoyed cruises, traveling throughout the United States and visiting with her family.
She married Robert Biron Nusser II on June 9, 1956, in Baldwin City. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Bob Nusser and wife Lynn, Waxahachie, and Jim Nusser and wife Sandra, Spring; a daughter, Nancy de la Garza, Richardson; and five grandsons, Zach and Dylan de la Garza and Justin, Jackson and Robert Nusser.
The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
