Francis “Buck” Glasgow

Services for Francis “Buck” Glasgow, 93, Lone Elm, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Moran. Burial will be in Lone Elm Cemetery.Mr. Glasgow died Friday, March 21, 2008, at the Allen County Hospital in Iola.He was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Lone Elm, the son of Jessie O. and Bessie Blaney Glasgow. He graduated from Lone Elm High School.Mr. Glasgow was a farmer and owner of Lone Elm Grocery Store. He also was a bus driver and janitor for the Kincaid and Lone Elm Schools. He worked at Gates Rubber for eight years and retired in 1984.He married Keitha Yelton on Oct. 5, 1941, in Lone Elm. She died June 11, 1999.His parents and two brothers, Gordon and Jim, also died earlier.Survivors include a son, Philip, Lawrence; a daughter, Beth Tinsley and husband Paul E., Bronson; a brother, Lane and wife Alta, Anderson, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Susie Glasgow, Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren, Paula Vincent, Everette Tinsley and James Tinsley; and four great-grandchildren, David Paul Vincent, Deianeira Vincent, Danee Vincent and Alex Lee Lukenbill.The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday before the services at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home, 344 N.
