Kenneth D. Vorhies Sr.

A private celebration of life is planned for Kenneth D. Vorhies Sr., 75, Eudora. Inurnment will be later at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.Mr. Vorhies died Monday, April 17, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.He was born July 27, 1930, in Topeka, the son of Ray and Lucy Berkly Vorhies. Mr. Vorhies worked for Capper Publications in Topeka. He later was a pressman at Kansas Color Press for more than 29 years and retired in 1988. He continued to work as a painting contractor.He was a member of Eudora Lions Club for more than 25 years.He married Alta Andrews on April 26, 1947, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include three daughters, Felicia Brown, Lawrence, Sue Cusimano, Winthrop Harbor, Ill., and Beth Cobleigh, Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Kenneth D.
