Glen R. Stockstill Sr.

Services for Glen R. Stockstill Sr., 68, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Assembly of God Church in Baldwin. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Sedalia Cemetery in Sedalia, Mo.Mr. Stockstill died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at his home.He was born Oct. 24, 1936, in Levelland, Texas, the son of Thomas Bradford and Nannie Mae Garner Stockstill. He graduated from Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia in 1954. He attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Mo. He lived in Kansas City, Mo., Shawnee, and the Wellsville and Baldwin areas.Mr. Stockstill served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1954 to 1962 as a cold weather trainer and attained the rank of corporal. He worked as a lithographer for Rigby Printing in Kansas City, Mo., for 20 years, and for Herff Jones in Shawnee for 25 years. He later worked as a farmer.He married Barbara Jean Watson on Jan. 6, 1957, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home.Other survivors include a son, Glen R. Jr., Ottawa; two daughters, Tammy Sue Stockstill Johnson and Dana Lynn Stockstill Crawford, both of Baldwin; a sister, Ella Mae Stockstill Adams, of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother, Charles, Sedalia, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
