Police are looking for Wanda Dyer.
Police are still searching for a 74-year-old Lawrence woman who has been missing for a week.
On Thursday they posted updated photos of Wanda Dyer to social media noting that her clothes were slightly different than initially described.
“Please note the differences in clothing and appearance than what was initially reported to us,” police wrote on Facebook. “The coat she was wearing does not appear to have a fur-lined hood. Please continue to keep an eye out for her, and help us get her safely back to her family.”
Police believe she was wearing a black coat with pink lining, or possibly a hoodie, and multicolored pants.
Dyer is a 5-foot-2 African American woman with short gray hair.
She was last seen by family leaving her home around 8 a.m. March 21 on foot, near Fifth and California streets, according to a social media post by police, and the department announced in a release Tuesday evening that she may have been seen heading out of the Lawrence area. A Silver Alert has been issued for her, city bus operators have been given her picture to distribute, and officers have searched parks and made multiple visits to places she is known to frequent.
Dyer suffers from confusion and memory issues, according to her family.
