Lawrence resident Isaiah Neal died at an area hospital this morning after officers responded to reports of gunshots at 2406 Alabama St. at about 1:15 a.m. Thursday. LPD investigators worked throughout the night and continued to track leads on Thursday, but no arrests have been made, according to a news release from the police department. On Thursday afternoon, police said on social media that they were looking for an 18-year-old man, Cir Allen Keith Glover, who they said may have “valuable information about the case.”
Anyone with information is asked to call dispatch at 785-832-7509 or Crime Stoppers of Lawrence and Douglas County at 785-843-TIPS if you would like to remain anonymous.
The apparent homicide is the second in the last three days in Lawrence. As reported, the police department also is investigating the death of Christopher Allen Lickteig, 43, following a roadside fight at an eastern Lawrence intersection near the Lawrence Community Shelter, where Lickteig had been living. Police have arrested a suspect, George Luke Miller, 34, who also was a resident of the shelter.
