VOTER GUIDE: Early voting starts soon; get informed about the candidates and issues in Douglas County

The 2024 general election kicks off soon, with the deadline to register to vote on Oct. 15 and advance voting starting on Oct. 16. On the ballot in Douglas County are races for district attorney, County Commission and state legislative seats, and in Lawrence there are also ballot questions about the city’s form of government and the affordable housing and homelessness sales tax.
