With election day nearing, Douglas County Clerk Jamie Shew told the Journal-World his office has been working to dispel misinformation that has been getting to voters.

As residents are being asked to cast their general election ballots during a global pandemic, Shew said he and his office would like to answer questions from the public to ensure they get accurate information. The Journal-World has agreed to solicit questions from its readers and pose those questions to Shew and his office.

If you have questions about the upcoming election or any related information you’re worried may be incorrect, you may send them to the paper for Shew to answer.

To submit questions, please email reporter Dylan Lysen at dlysen@ljworld.com or call him at 785-832-6353 before 5 p.m. Tuesday. The Journal-World plans to publish Shew’s answers to your questions in the Sunday, Oct. 18, edition of the paper.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. The final day to register to vote is Tuesday, Oct. 13.
