September 24th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

A fairly calm morning in Douglas County.

Police in Lawrence conducted four vehicle stops and responded on three disturbances.

One of those disturbances, said to be domestic, occurred around 4:30 this morning. Two people were arrested at that address, one on an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant and the other faces charges of Battery and Disorderly Conduct.

None of this morning’s activity was reported to have involved any serious injuries.

Also today, KU Alumni and the current president in the Republic of Colombia will be participating in an event at the Dole Institute. More information on this visit and the award can be found here from Operation 100 News or here from the Lawrence Journal-World.
