December 30th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Another fairly quiet morning in Lawrence and the rest of Douglas County.

Lawrence Police and a Lawrence Medic unit were called to the 3400 block of Lazy Brook Lane at 2:14 a.m. on reports of an injury accident. The calling party reported that “someone” had fallen out of one vehicle. Lawrence Police arrived quickly and reported that it was the driver, who appeared to be intoxicated, had fallen out of the vehicle after the crash. LDCFM cleared from the scene without transporting anyone. The Journal-World will have more on this accident here.

Police also responded on two disturbances, one of which a person was said to have sustained serious injuries. That person was transported to LMH by LDCFM.

Police in Johnson County along with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 6-year-old after he was taken by his father following, what Police are calling a “violent incident”. Olathe Police believe the child may be in danger and his father made remarks regarding harming himself. More on this, including pictures of both, can be found here.
