December 27th Early Morning Law Enforcement & Fire/Medical wrap up

Shortly after midnight, Lawrence Police were beginning to break down their search for two alleged armed robbery suspects. More on the armed robbery and the search that followed can be found here from the Lawrence Journal World.

Other than the activity mentioned above, things were pretty quiet in Douglas County this morning. Officers in Lawrence responded on one noise complaint and two burglary alarms.

Police were called to the area of N 4th and Maple streets to investigate reports of gunshots heard in the area. Emergency dispatchers told Officers of four separate calls they had received in the area, all reporting the same thing. Callers reported that there were anywhere from 5-10 gunshots heard. Police were not able to locate anyone in the area or any damage.
