Weekend System Update

For the last several days we have been tracking a strong system moving out of Canada. That system was originally forecast to move down the eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains and land in western Kansas by Saturday, but that forecast track has changed. The latest data indicates that this system is actually going to take a westward swing through western Colorada and eastern Utah before swinging through Kansas. With the latest track, we will keep our weekend temperatures in the low to mid 80’s with our rain chances fairly low through Sunday. This system will pass to our northwest by Monday and Tuesday bringing rain chances back to the area through the beginning of next week although we don’t expect our daytime highs to drop-off dramatically at that point.Stay tuned to 6 News and LJWorld.com for the latest weather information! target=”_blank
