Depending on when you steamrolled through your teenage years, there's a great chance you've met Holden Caulfield, the teenage protagonist of "The Catcher in the Rye." The man who created Holden, and then spent most of his life hiding from the fame that came with literary stardom, author J.D. Salinger, has died at the age of 91.

What are your thoughts on Mr. Salinger — his life, his work and his most famous creation?

Wow, not since high school. Agreed, good story, great read. Will have to get it down from the shelf . . . and pay a little homage. Rest Peacefully J.D.

Much much better than last cycle. There's some talent. If you want a good laugh, check out Ping before she's gone. I don't think she'll be around too long but she's definitely entertaining. Take care and I'll watch for your Idol blog, even though I don't watch that on a regular basis.

Awww, thanks, Lucy! We just decided not to do it right now because we're going to do Idol instead and they overlap. I haven't watched PR yet this season (my DVR is getting full!) — what do you think of it?

Reading the book for class in 1974. Great read, great character.

Sarah: miss you blogging about PR!
