Class of 2020 point guard Ty Berry will make the short trip north to Lawrence on Sept. 28 to unofficially visit the University of Kansas for Late Night in the Phog.

Berry’s father and coach, Tony Berry, who played football at KU in the mid-1980s, revealed the family’s plans to KUsports.com on Monday.

Berry’s father, who was a roommate of Danny Manning’s during his KU days, also played junior varsity basketball at KU, when the program still existed, and was coached by John Calipari on the JV squad.

As for the younger Berry, the 6-foot-2 point guard from Newton, has done plenty during the past two summers to establish himself as one of the top high school prospects currently playing in Kansas.

In addition to being on KU’s radar, Berry has received offers or heavy interest from Kansas State, Creighton, Wake Forest, Oklahoma State and Kentucky.

Here’s a quick look at some highlights from last summer’s Jayhawk Invitational.
