It's too hot to be downtown. I feel sorry for the clerks who have to stay outside.

Look for low turnout this year.

If the weather was decent, I'd consider it.
But the way I look at the sale in general is it's a chance for stores to dump their clearance racks of stuff noone wants at prices that may finally approach reasonable once discounted 50% from the Mass St. mark-up.

Not a chance in Kansas

Bad time of the year, never understood why they picked the hisorically hottest week of the year. Hold it from 5 A.M. till noon; afternoons are brutal especially on the east side of Mass. St. Not a healthy situation for shoppers let alone clerks who have to "people" the booths.

I'll be in Lawrence on Friday. I'll check Mass St then for leftovers

Downtown doesn't offer much of anything I want.

I think this is a really foolish time to do this every year. I started to go one year and it was so hot, the mirror on my windshield popped off and I decided to not get into the sun. Why not have this is september when the students are here? Why not in May after they leave? But the third week in July? This is just foolish and foolhardy.

Not this year. I'm a 99%-er and work out of town.
Grew up here and I remember the sidewalk bazaar starting on Thursday and running through Saturday close of business. Stores were open from 0600 to 2200. Now it runs only on Thursday.
Also, merchants used this to clear their shelves and few brought in new merchandise for the sale as many do now.
