    Yes, and it's amazing.

  2. Citizen_X (anonymous) says…

    It tastes like chicken!

  3. GEARHEAD (anonymous) says…

It's a little to dry for me, very little fat

  4. CLARKKENT (anonymous) says…

yes, i have. i find it very good, but you sure can overcook, making it a little tough.

probably not worth the cost, which in some cases, doubles beef.

  5. autie (anonymous) says…

Yes. Wrapped in bacon. Quite tasty.

  6. The_Original_Bob (anonymous) says…

Yes. A few times. My opinion is sort of like gearhead's. A bit dry. Not bad though.

    Yes,

It is different. Not bad, but not as good as beef.

Probably a good meat for someone that is on diet that is avoiding fat such as those with heart issues, body building, or just wanting leaner meat. But, it is does not taste better.

  10. RalphReed (Ralph Reed) says…

Eat it a lot. Well worth the cost.

    Bison beats beef, everytime.

As it becomes more popular the price will come down. After all, it's a free market economy.

  12. pmsharp (anonymous) says…

Little on the dry side, but tasty!!!

  13. lori (anonymous) says…

We eat it almost exclusively, particularly ground. If you buy the entire buffalo and split it with some friends or family, the price is not much more than beef (certainly not twice as much).

It's great as a ground meat. You don't have to drain the fat when cooking it in a skillet, and I think it has a richer taste than beef. If grilling it, we add a little sauce to the meat to keep it from getting dry, but that simply makes it tastier. It makes fantastic meatballs and meatloaf.

Horse meat wrapped in bacon is tasty.

  16. ralphralph (anonymous) says…

It's not dry if you cook it right.
The tenderloin, medium rare, is outstanding stuff.

Had a bison burger in Fairbanks, Alaska at Sophie's Place. Had a kaiser bun, huge slices of red onion and tomato, with some mayo and ketchup. It was wonderful.

I have not found one served the same way here in town. Nearly all the buffalo burgers I've seen are drowned in bbq or a sauce of some sort.

  18. riverdrifter (anonymous) says…

Hump steak is good. Again, just don't over cook.
Ground buffalo is good in chilli. Not as good as venison -nothing is, but still good.

  19. George_Braziller (anonymous) says…

I've had bison but I must say that I prefer elk steaks and venison.

    Yummy.

Bison burger at Fitz's. Really good. Better than their emu burger.

  21. kawryan (anonymous) says…

Prepared right: Medium, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, pickels and lots of cheese on a soft bun soooo good! Great for low fat diets.Mmmmmm

It's rather tough and not very tasty, but stalking and wrestling bison bare-handed is where it's at.
