I hope you're right, oldvet, but I don't know. They have a lot of talent in their running game. I certainly agree with you on their band, though. I was at that game several years ago, and they put on a killer show, getting the biggest applause from the hometown crowd I've ever heard for anything non-Jayhawk. Impressive!

The Aggies have no pass defense, mediocre run defense, little passing offense, a great running game, and 80,000+ football-crazed fans who scream from kickoff until the final gun. It is a terrible place for a visiting team to try to play, especially if you do a lot of play calling at the line. Fortunately our DBs can cover their passing offense 1-1, leaving the LBs to help on the run. The teams who have totally shut them down have played a 4-4-3 defense. Play a 3-4-4 and they will control the ball and run over you and score points. We should be able to score regularly on offense and shred their pass defense, a good day for Reesing.

They are, however, undefeated at halftime performances. Their band is THE best in the B-12, probably in the country. The first (and only) time they came to Lawrence, the stands remained full during their performance, few people left to get food until after the Aggie band (or probably more accurately, a drum&bugle corps) finished their performance. Their performance was and is incredible to watch and listen to. You have to see their marching manuvers... a thing of beauty.
