OK, you take even more tax money away from the average person to shift to a corporation of elitists and this makes the community more affordable how???

Because attracting/retaining/developing high-paying jobs reduces your burden/share of the taxes. One hundred people earning $100k pay a lot more taxes then 100 people earning $20k. Not to mention the corporate taxes the business pays over the life of the company, and the jobs that are created with building the homes and office and production space, and the sales taxes and property taxes that go along with it. I suppose you would rather spend the average person's tax money on social programs, that invariably contribute to the attracting/retaining/developing of the low-income, non-taxpaying community?
