Aside for planning for future growth in that area, how would extending 31st to Oconnell Rd improve traffic on 23rd? I can see it reducing traffic on 27th St. Granted, I can't see it hurting to extend that road, just looking for a reasoning behind it.

I live by Mary's Lake, and it's a beautiful place to enjoy peace and silence, read, fish, or spend time with friends and family. This road is impressively unnecessary, and will destroy Prairie Park for all who would enjoy it. This is all residential area, and it's not any longer to get home by the presently existing routes. Please don't do this City Commissioners!
