Letter to the editor: Say no to tolls
To the editor:
So former Gov. Sam Brownback and the Republicans have huge tax cuts, then steal money from the highway fund and other places in state government to balance the budget, and now we need toll roads! I do believe that when they took back at the tax cuts they left in place most of the cuts are for the upper incomes and corporations. They robbed the state of funds and leave the cuts for the people who don’t need a tax cut. Now cities and counties are forced to raise property taxes and sales taxes to make up for cuts in state funding. Now highways are to be improved with new toll roads for the same reason. How blind can people be?
