Walter Clifford “Cliff ” Clarridge, age 93 of Baldwin City, KS, passed away March 8, 2018 at Vintage Park Assisted Living Community, Baldwin City.

Cliff was born September 3, 1924 in Oskaloosa, KS, the son of Clarence Clifford Clarridge and Vera (Robinson) Clarridge. Cliff lived most of his life in the Baldwin City area, graduating from Baldwin High School, with the class of 1943. He was a lifelong farmer while also owning a milk route business for many years and owning his own dairy business for many years. Cliff was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Baldwin City.
Cliff was a very inventive man with the adaptations he created over the years for his farm equipment. He lost his dominant right arm in an accident in his thirties and never let that hold him back. He taught himself how to use his left arm and then spent many hours creating easier ways for himself to manipulate his equipment. His inventions were very detailed and written out and were a testament to his drive to never quit trying to improve upon something.
Mr. Clarridge is survived by his two sisters, Jean Lawson of Baldwin City, Claire Jennings of Lawrence, KS; five nieces and nephews, Sharon Cleavinger, Shirley Comer, Sally Arnold, Danny Jennings, Peggy Johnson; nine great nieces and nephews; and numerous greatgreat nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
