Marsha Sue Hunter

Marsha Sue Hunter, 71, passed away March 2, 2018 in Lawrence, Kansas from colon cancer. Marsha was born in August 12, 1946 in Bethany, Missouri to Kenneth and Jean Hunter. She was the oldest of five children. Marsha graduated from Albany High School and attended Northwest Missouri State. She then moved to Los Angeles where she worked at various jobs in sales of which she was most successful. She was last employed by ESolutions as a health care representative. She attended Unity Church, had a Christian faith and loved the Lord. Marsha is survived by her mother, Jean Otney of Lawrence, KS; daughter Treina Hunter of Long Beach, California; sisters Karen (Mike) Brown of Burbank, CA and Kathy Hunter of Springfield, Missouri; brothers Bryan Hunter (Phyllis) and Bob Hunter (Kathy) of Stover Missouri; 1 grandson 4 nieces, 2 nephews, 1 greatniece and 3 greatnephews. Marsha enjoyed antiquing and finding unique items to decorate her home. She loved the warm weather and lifestyle of Belize and traveled there several times during her lifetime. She loved Bob Marley and his music. After moving to Lawrence to be closer to her family she became a KU Jayhawk fan and enjoyed watching games with family. Marsha was a member of the Kansas Authors Club and made many friends in the local literary and art circles. A private family remembrance service was held March 5, 2018.
