Funeral services for Marjean Kampschroeder Goff, 82, Lawrence will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 20 2017 at WarrenMcElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. She passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Life Care Center, Burlington, KS.Marjean was born June 1, 1935 in Lawrence, KS the daughter Thomas Shaw and Irene Gertrude (Nemec) Kampschroeder. She attended Clinton Grade School and New Bel Voir. She then graduated from Liberty Memorial High School. She was a member of the Mustard Seed Church, a board member and secretary of Morris County Mental Health Association, Women’s Federated Club, Secretary/Treasurer of Council Grove, KS, Member of Methodist Church, Council Grove, and Women’s Methodist Group in Wilsey, KS and First Christian Church in Lawrence. She was a mail handler for the United States Postal Service until she retired, after 25 years of service. Prior to that, she was a test inspector for BendixKing Radio, Inc., Secretary to Council Grove Police Department, Teacher’s Aide, Washington Grade School in Council Grove, Billing Clerk for TriCounty Telephone Company in Council Grove, and before that, she was a Bookkeeper for Morton’s Building Materials in Lawrence. She married John Henry Goff January 24, 1955. He preceded her in death January 9, 1971. Survivors include two sons, Roy Eugene (Lila) Goff, Burlington, KS, John Henry II (Terri) Goff , Marion, KS; five grandchildren, Heather Yowell, Miranda Doucet, Nathan Bishop, Caitlin Goff (Espinoza), Bryson Goff; great grandchildren, Gabriel Espinoza, Adalia Espinoza; and two nephews. She was also preceded in death by grandson, Ben Bishop and John Henry Goff III; and her sister, Denna Mae Stone.
